Engagements
We were delighted when Ollie & Elham invited us over to do take some engagement photos of them at Ollie's family home in London. There's something special about being photographed in surroundings that are part of your soul and your heritage and this was very much the case for this shoot. We were spoilt on this shoot with loads of time, no wind to battle, blue sky and a great couple to work with... so for being one of our first shoots since November we were eased in gently!
E&O, thanks for welcoming us so warmly to your part of the world, being yourselves and sorting out such fab weather too - we would do it all again tomorrow if we could!
As we listened to Ryan talk about their story, Hannah pressed in to shelter from the wind and rested her head into his chest, he didn't flinch...like this embrace is the most natural connection they know.
This is what we love, reading a couple and shooting how we see them.
Ryan and Hannah, we had a blast hanging out with you, in a place which holds so many family memories for you. A couple on the coast in love, what could be better?!
AHHH!! We LOVED this engagement session SO much! Conor and his lovely Californian fiancée Anna, met us in Belfast's beautiful Cathedral Quarter last week. We hung out, drank awesome coffee (at Established Coffee... if you haven't, you need to check this place out) and took some snaps. For us, that's a winning combination. We kind of stumbled into the skate park under the bridges and we were pretty chuffed to discover another great location for photos. Gillian and I will be photographing their wedding in Limepark and Lissanoure Castle this summer and we can't wait. Some awesome photography opportunities.
We get excited when couples tailor their wedding plans with places of significance in mind. Unfortunately it's not always possible. But Ross and Emily have pursued this with some engagement shots at the very spot Ross asked the question. If that wasn't significant enough their upcoming wedding will be in Queens; where their story started. It's here that they drank coffee, wrote late night essays, went to gigs, got soaked in the Belfast rain and fell in love.
In years to come these images will remain, for future generations and family. Ross and Emily - young and in love, in the very place it all began.
It all started when we were at a friends house for dinner, and PK happened to be there too... while he was chatting I couldn't get my best buddie Erin, out of my head. I 'subtly' kicked Tim under the table and then decided to announce that PK needed to meet this special girl... One of his first questions about her was something along the lines of "could she toss a bale of hay??!"
It seems she can :)
